Glenwood Springs

Historical Society, Glenwood Springs
Glenwood Springs was the one place Abdu'l-Baha visited where He rested.  From Denver, He traveled westward but felt a bit sick from the altitude. (We could relate!)  He stopped at 2 am in Glenwood Springs, took a room (suite facing the couryard) at the Hotel Colorado, slept a few hours, had lunch in the garden, went to the vapor caves and baths, and got back on the train at 11 pm--less than 24 hours from arrival!

We did research at the Historical Society and got archival photos, then shot on location at the Hotel and caves--but historic photos will tell more of the story.  We have stories of our own to tell, suggested by captions below!
Our costumes filled the closet!

Allison, whom the guys met at Wendy's
The couple (Steve and Bess) who knocked on our door because I had left things in the hall--
and agreed to dress up & be in the scene!

Lisa, who responded to email from Historical Society and who helped so much

Barbara and John, who had never been to Colorado and were staying one night
John was not happy about being part of our venture--
but had a transformation the next day and helped us!

Judith (Judy) who joined us because she didn't
have anything else to do that evening!

We filmed from 10 pm until after midnight--and no one complained!
The next day, in the garden. Didn't get a shot of the table Tim had set,
representing the table the hotel set up in the garden for Abdu'l-Baha and His entourage
